Dr. Sean Marshall is a planetary scientist in the Florida Space Institute at the University of Central Florida. He received B.S. degrees in Physics and Astronomy from Arizona State University in 2010, and a Ph.D. in Astronomy from Cornell University in 2017.

Dr. Marshall’s research focuses on radar and infrared observations of near-Earth asteroids (NEAs), and how those data can be used to determine NEAs’ physical properties. He previously worked in the solar system radar group at Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. He is a member of the science team for JAXA’s upcoming DESTINY+ mission to active asteroid 3200 Phaethon. His papers are available via ORCID.
