Fun fact: Only 7 meteorites in the world’s collections have been found in Florida. That’s <0.4% of all the meteorites recovered in the US, despite the fact that Florida is 1.5% of the land area of the US. It’s difficult to find a meteorite in Florida! More fun facts are here.
